Signing of the CFA Contract Agreement

On January 24, 2008, DCNA and the District signed an agreement insuring representation of registered nurses at the Child & Family Services Agency.  The contract brought nurses’ salaries in line with other DCNA represented members employed by the DC Government.  In addition, CFSA nurses now have full membership rights and privileges and are covered by the Compensation Unit 13 collective bargaining agreement.

DCNA had initially sought representation of CFSA registered nurses nearly four years ago.  It was not until January 2007, when DCNA was officially recognized as the unit’s bargaining agent that the District agreed to negotiate a contract with DCNA.  DCNA thanks the CFSA nurses for their patience and work in reaching this Agreement.
